Course Learning Outcomes:

After completing this course, the students will be able to:

· Develop an understanding of the technical terminology associated with film and media studies.

· Interpret films as text and evaluate them critically.

· Appraise the process of adaption of texts into films.

· Recognize the nuances of script writing.

· Assess various film genres and their characteristics.

· Appreciate the works of prescribed writers and the directors of their adaptations.

· Develop reading skills in determining the success of adaptations and present their assessments through a variety of mediums.
